Chicago seems to entering a war on graffiti. No inch of space in the city is safe from graffiti. Neighborhoods new and old, sidewalks, street signs, garbage cans, parking meters, and trees are all prime targets. Even tourist attractions are getting hit and the mayor isn’t happy because graffiti gives them a bad image. And with the evolution of graffiti, finding ways to remove it can be challenging too. The mayor is raising the budget for city services which includes graffiti removal. It’s hard to comprehend how it gets to this level. How did it get so bad? And what can we do to stop it?
