Day 2: Metal Shield and Glass Shield Installation at Irvine Train Station!
The Graffiti Shield team is back for Day 2 of our installation at Irvine Train Station in Orange County, CA! After successfully installing Metal Shield in the first elevator, today we completed the interior coverage of all elevators and introduced our Glass Shield to the station’s garage elevators.
Metal Shield: Restoring and Protecting Metal Surfaces
Our expert Field Technicians applied Metal Shield Stainless Steel, a 6-mil thick graffiti abatement and obscuring film, to restore the interior surfaces of the station’s elevators. By replicating the original clean, stainless steel look, Metal Shield protects surfaces from future vandalism while concealing existing damage.
Metal Shield Benefits:
• Available in Stainless Steel and Brushed Gold
• Proprietary adhesive that withstands removal attempts yet allows easy replacement
• Available by roll or precut pieces for fast installation and identification
Glass Shield: Invisible Protection for Glass Surfaces
In addition to Metal Shield, we installed Glass Shield in the garage elevators, adding an invisible layer of protection against vandalism. Glass Shield is a 4 or 6-mil thick clear, sacrificial film designed to shield glass from scratches, carvings, and even acid etching. Once damaged, the film is easily removed and replaced—restoring the surface to a “new-like” appearance.
Glass Shield Highlights:
• Undetectable sacrificial coating on glass, acrylic, and other surfaces
• Available in Multi-Layer stacks for quick, easy vandalism removal
• Proprietary adhesive allows easy removal while resisting public tampering
With this dual-layer protection, Irvine Train Station’s elevators are now more resilient than ever against graffiti and vandalism.
