Even in the midst of a shutdown no environment is safe from graffiti. The San Francisco BART went on strike during October causing shutdowns throughout the bay area. While no one was watching, nine stations got extensively vandalized with graffiti. The cleanup is still underway as of today. With the graffiti even on the tracks, crews must wait for trains to power down before trying to remove the tags. So far only two people have been arrested and there’s no word on how many more there are. This goes to show that nothing will stand in the way of a vandal from destroying property.
